In early 2005, our family had the opportunity to take a two-week vacation to Italy. Little did we know, that trip would be the start of a huge desire to see souls saved in Italy.
After much prayer, we were finally able to take a three month mission trip to Rome in December, 2007. Our main focus was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to thousands of souls who come to the V*tic*n during the Christmas season. They come in search of something spiritual. We wanted to be there to give them truth.
Once again, in 2010, we were able to go to Rome, this time during the Easter season. With God providing, we were able to stay in Italy for three months. For this trip, we took 14,000 English and Italian tracts with us. We also took 50 English Bibles. All of these things were provided through people who were willing to have us be the arms and legs! We may never know this side of Heaven what seeds were planted, but we are trusting on the promise that God's Word will not return void.
Now, in just six short weeks, we will be on our way to Rome once again! When I think back to that first mission trip in 2007 and the joy that we had to be able to go, I cannot believe that we are now able to go on our third mission trip to Italy! "Amazing" just doesn't describe the awe that I feel. How could a most Holy God send us to be His arms and feet? I feel God's grace and provision in ways that only draw me closer to Him.
