Italian Way of Life Wednesdays - Our Field Trip

It has been amazing watching God work in the little things!

Who orchestrated our textbook to line up with Ancient Rome while we are in Rome?
How is it that we are able to study the Renaissance while in this part of Europe?

I can tell you it wasn't me! I feel like we're behind in where we should have been this time of year... and yet, this is right where we needed to be! I could not have known this while ordering curriculum just a year ago. Needless to say, we are taking advantage of it.

Tuesday was field trip day! I could give a history lesson, but I think that I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

The Colosseum

Sitting on a pillar? Who else sat on this pillar? Who sits on pillars?!

Looming over the city

The Arch of Titus - Built to commemorate the Roman Victory over the Jews

Overlooking the Roman Forum

Which way should we go?

Contemplating Life?

Ruins of the Emporers Palace

The cost of going on a Field Trip in Rome = Too much to mention

Spending time learning together = Priceless

Hebrews 11:13,15,16

... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and were PERSUADED of them, and EMBRACED them, and CONFESSED that they were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country... But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
