Answer to Prayer!

Thank you to all of those who prayed for our day on Sunday!

In Dave's own words, "The Lord Jesus gave to me lots of grace today. His grace is sufficient. The knee hurt briefly on two occasions. I am very thankful today…"  Now, he is recovering from the Marathon well and is hoping to start passing out more tracts tomorrow.

Dave told me that I wasn't to let  him forget this day! I hope to not be forgetting it too quickly either. God's grace is sufficient and we are most humbled!

Not only did Dave have a good run and a good day, but the rest of our family is very thankful as well! We started out our day very tired, but made the train in time. The sky was rainy and Ashlyn said she wasn't feeling well and then got sick on the train… twice! We were already near Rome, so the only thing to do was to keep going. I decided to let the other two girls run the 5k without me. My, that was bravery on their part! This momma had to trust that the Lord was going to watch over them too! When I finally saw their faces again, in the midst of at least a thousand, I was so very thankful! Ashlyn did better as the day went on, but the sky sure made it very wet! We just kept trudging through the city of Rome and saw Dave along his route. It was always good to see his face too… and smiling!

We would like to thank those who prayed for this day. God has answered all of our prayers and His grace has helped us come through! We are not running in vain and neither are you!

We made it home safely and in time to watch our church service through Live Streaming…. the perfect ending to our Lord's Day! The really fun thing was hearing the Bible text … The LORD hath done great things for us, whereof we are glad. Ps. 126:3 How applicable is that!

Just praising God too for such a fruitful and blessed day you experienced. Stay well and keep your feet on the straight and narrow path.

So good to read your last entry and how the Lord orchestrated everything! Love, the ziemkes

Hebrews 11:13,15,16

... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and were PERSUADED of them, and EMBRACED them, and CONFESSED that they were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country... But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
