A Week's Update

This last week has been interesting... both in Italy and on the homefront. We can thank God for being in control, for knowing what we need and for providing prayer support.

Dave has been going to his "usual" spot everyday. Some days were a bit slower because of rain this last week. The week before this, he was stopped by undercovers and told he could not continue. He did. God is good. It reminds me of Acts.

Dave has met a man named Stefano. His daughter plays guitar for a local church. He's able to talk with both of them. Please pray for this situation and for God's leading.

A man came up to Dave this last week and wanted him to say the r*sary with him. Dave was able to share with this man why he wouldn't do that and why it wasn't Biblical. Please pray for this man and that God would use His Word in this man's life.

Dave has been going to see Paco for years now. He owns a bike shop and Dave is able to build a relationship on that mutual interest. He is also building relationships with Paco's adult children. Paco's wife has been in the hospital. Please pray for her. There is also a girl that works with Paco in the bike shop. She must be around 19. Her name is Roberta. Dave gave her a John and Romans last year and she talked with Dave about that.

Dave has recently met two girls from Clackamas, Oregon. They go to a church that a friend of ours attends in that area. Funny how a person can travel half-way across the world and meet people like that!

Today, Dave passed out Hindi tracts to a family from India.

The list goes on..... Please continue to keep all of these dear people in your prayers!

On the homefront, my grandmother had a stroke and this last weekend was difficult. The good news is that she is doing better. She will have quite the road to recovery, but it was a blessing to speak with her at least. The children and I are doing well and have developed a routine while Daddy is gone. It will be nice to have him back someday soon, but we are thanking the Lord that we have a husband and father who loves Jesus and wants other people to have a relationship with Him.

We thank you so much for your prayers!

Hebrews 11:13,15,16

... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and were PERSUADED of them, and EMBRACED them, and CONFESSED that they were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country... But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
