Do you notice anything about what the people in these pictures are wearing? I wonder if the same things stand out to you as they do to us as we are walking around the city?
One thing that we have noticed about the clothing here in Italy, especially during the winter, is that it is all dark. There are a lot of browns and blacks. We're not sure if this is for a specific reason, or if it is the style....
As we were sitting in the train station waiting for our train, I was struck with the comparison between what is seen on the outside and what may be going on inside the souls of these people. I am not suggesting that because they are wearing dark clothing, they therefore have dark souls. I am saying though, that this is a very real representation of the majority here in Italy.
Darkness of souls is very prevalent here in Italy. We hope and pray we can bring light ...
