Electronics and technology have come a long way since we first started going to Italy eleven years ago. Keeping in contact with people happened only through email and when we could get internet service. Now that Dave goes to Italy solo most of the time, it is nice to have the ability to text each other through out the day. It’s a blessing that we don’t take for granted and it is well worth the extra fee for the time that he is gone!
Along with being able to keep up with each others lives, it has also allowed him to share stories, events and pictures of the people he comes in contact with on a daily basis. I personally love all the stories and I am thankful that I can pray for those people then and there. I know you will love hearing some of the ways God is using this ministry too and it gives you an opportunity to pray as well!
Pope Francis was back from his August vacanza and so his Wednesday speeches began again this week. This gives Dave an opportunity to talk to quite a bit more people. One group he spoke with play the drums for the pope. There were ten of them and they all took an Italian tract. One guy, specifically, was named Daniele (the Italian name for Daniel).
Remember Fabio? He owns a coffee shop and Dave has had great conversations with him. This week, Dave was able to meet Fabio’s dad and he took an Italian John and Romans.
Dave has been trying to do some repairs on his bike that stays there in Italy. He needed to go to a specialty store near Porta di Roma but it is quite the adventure with all the busses, metros, trains etc.... One day this last week, he set out but ended up having to come home. The busses were running on their own Italian time schedule and unless you have experienced it, you won’t completely get it! The good news is that while he sat waiting for quite a while, he met a girl named Kiera. They had some good conversation and she took an Italian John and Romans as well as an Italian tract. God knows why Dave was there that day. We continue to pray for Kiera.

This last week has been a bit difficult strength wise and physically. It’s also been a week of fighting discouragement, both for Dave and here at home. Satan knows this is a weak area, but we recognize it as a spiritual battle. We appreciate you being a prayer warrior on our behalf!
Please continue to pray that Dave will be in the right place at the right time! We also ask that you pray for a man from Minnesota by the name of Justin. He will be joining Dave this week as they pass out tracts together.
We continue to look forward to what God will do!
