A Miracle for God's Glory

Why does God choose to perform miracles, let alone miracles in OUR lives? I don't know that many of us stop and ask that question too much, but having witnessed a miracle yesterday, I think that the answer would be... so that we can give God all the Glory!

Many of you have been following the health and progress of a little baby born 6 weeks early with a tumor on his lung. I won't go in to much detail again, but I will say that the Doctors saw him as a hopeless and helpless case and one that should be aborted. Thankfully, his parents saw otherwise. After many weeks in the womb and many mornings of his parents waking up and wondering if he was still alive, he was delivered by C-section six weeks ago today. The fact that he was still alive after a few hours was a miracle in itself. I could go on and on with miracle after miracle in this little guys life, but the miracle I witnessed yesterday was the neatest of all. This picture basically sums it all up....

There in my living room, with lots of other little miracles sitting around him, was the little guy. He was just sleeping, looking just like every other new born, while his parents and little sister are so happy to be finally bringing him home.

So, why did God choose to perform this miracle? So that we could give Him all the praise and glory... So that we could sing our praises to Him alone... So that He could hear his children thanking Him for His goodness in our lives.

Hebrews 11:13,15,16

... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and were PERSUADED of them, and EMBRACED them, and CONFESSED that they were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country... But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
